Tiemoue Bakayoko linked with loan move to AC Milan

The 29-year-old's toxic relationship with manager Antonio Conte seemed like it all-but confirmed his Stamford Bridge departure until the controversial Italian was swapped out for another, former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk star played a key part as the Selecao were knocked out in the quarter finals by Belgium.

Speaking after the game, he insisted that he is not looking to leave his current club while mentioning Barca's attempts to sign him.

There's no getting around it, he was utterly awful during his debut campaign as a Chelsea player. "I always made it clear that what I wanted was to stay in the club".

He told the club's official website: "I am really happy and excited to be here at Chelsea. But my head is here in the club". "We have to do all we can to keep improving".

Chelsea are overstocked in midfield following the arrivals of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic over the course of the Premier League summer transfer window.

The Toffees may have taken a while to get going in the transfer window, but have now added three signings after securing Joao Virginia, Lucas Digne and Richarlison.

Sarri will at least be hoping to at least keep hold of the players that he already has at his disposal.

The Belgian defender has been linked with the Red Devils, who are also interested in Jerome Boateng and Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ante Rebic.

Belgium's Batshuayi was the latest returnee who did not feature in their 0-0 draw with Lyon in the International Champions Cup on Tuesday and Sarri says it is better late than never with Chelsea's Premier League campaign kicking off at Huddersfield on Saturday.
