MIna: I want to win things at Everton

Everton have confirmed the captures of Barcelona pair Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes on a busy deadline day that also saw winger Bernard arrive on a free.

Mina, who impressed for Colombia at this summer's World Cup, had been pursued hard by the Blues since his exploits in Russian Federation.

Speaking about why he wanted to join, the 23-year-old told the club's website that he discussed Everton with fellow teammate Lucas Digne - who played alongside Mina at Camp Nou - before making the switch.

Moments later they also confirmed that Portugal worldwide Gomes would join the Premier League side on loan.

'Marco's words helped me a lot because having a coach who believes in his ideas is important.

The clubs agreed a permanent deal for Mina worth £27.2m (€30.25m) rising to £28.5m (€31.75m), while Andre Gomes joins on a season-long loan.

Everton and Barcelona have reached an agreement over a transfer fee for Colombian defender Mina and Gomes is also being sent to Goodison Park, but on loan. This is a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to competing here.

New Everton defender Yerry Mina says that he wants to win things with the Blues.

'That's really why I made the choice - because of the confidence both the manager and the club showed in me'. I know about Everton's players and I look forward to being able to play with my new team.
