Barcelona 'insert £54m buy-back clause' into Yerry Mina's Everton deal

Everton, who finished eighth in the Premier League last season, have always been viewed as the side most likely to mount a challenge to break into the illustrious top six.

Marco Silva's Everton looked to be heading into the 2018-19 season having only strengthened with Richarlison and Lucas Digne, but on Thursday they found agreements with Barcelona for Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, while Brazil worldwide Bernard signed on a free transfer following his Shakhtar Donetsk departure.

Everton have completed the signing of Brazil winger Bernard on a four-year deal from Shakhtar Donetsk.

"The English club will pay FC Barcelona 30.25 million euros plus 1.5 million euros in variables".

Mina has signed on a permanent five-year deal worth €30million (approx £27.2million), while Portugal worldwide Gomes has arrived at Goodison on a one-season loan.

The Colombia defender departs Camp Nou just seven months after arriving from Palmeiras, having failed to dislodge Samuel Umtiti or Gerard Pique in his bid for regular minutes.

The 25-year-old joined Barcelona in a £42m deal in 2016, less than a fortnight after helping Portugal win the European Championship.

Moments later they also confirmed that Portugal worldwide Gomes would join the Premier League side on loan.

'I chose Everton because of all the things I'd heard about Marco Silva and because Everton is a club with a lot of tradition, ' Bernard told the club's official website.
