Taylor Swift stunned by fans' engagement backstage at Philadelphia concert

Lesson learned. Taylor Swift is as honest as they come.

"They walk into the meet and greet and he says "We met 5 years ago at the Red Tour" and then....", Taylor captioned the slideshow below, adding the hashtag "#thirdwheel".

The fan, known only as Anthony, first started planning the proposal on June 3 when he set up an anonymous Twitter account, writing: "I NEED YOUR HELP!" While singing her hit song, "Delicate", in a glittery basket that's meant to carry her over to a B-stage, the contraption got stuck and well, just kind of held her in one place.

Tay eventually got into another cage, which took her across the stadium as originally planned - but not before killing time with a little a cappella crooning.

Although Swift had an earpiece in, the only way she could communicate back to her team was to speak into her mic, letting the crowd in on every part of the unexpected moment.

"[Taylor] called me a baller and said that she is never surprised".

"We have spent countless hours listening to her music together".

"This is our second concert, and we are going again in nine days", said C.J. Davidson, who attended the concert.

According to E! News, she told the crowd: "I'm pretty sure I'm stuck up here".

Another photo that she shared on social media Friday featured her and some friends hanging out in her childhood bedroom.

Taylor has pulled out all of the stops so far on the extensive tour, bringing out her showbiz pals Niall Horan, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Troye Sivan and Robbie Williams for duets.
