Chelsea land Jorginho for 60 million euros

Former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is officially the successor to another Italian at Premier League side Chelsea and well, it's safe to say that the 59-year-old is a huge personality.

Sarri has always been tipped to take over from Conte, however Chelsea dragged out the sacking of his fellow Italian, whose departure was only confirmed today, after two years at the club.

Jorginho naturally sounded excited after joining the Premier League giants and was expressive in his first interview.

"The club would like to thank Maurizio Sarri for the work he has done over the past three years", read a statement from the Serie A side.

Sarri was widely expected to be the next man in the Stamford Bridge dugout after a successful spell in Naples, where his exciting brand of attacking football helped secure successive Champions League qualifications.

City are also said to be furious at the handling of the situation by the player's agent Joao Santos and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Hull boss Nigel Adkins has been busy reshaping his defence this summer after losing a number of stars at the end of last season and Kane is now poised to become the club's fifth new signing of the transfer window.

"I was just irritable", Sarri said at the time.

Conte, who had refused to walk away from Chelsea unless the final year of his contract was paid in full, was sacked on Friday morning.

Winning trophies didn't save Conte being shown the Stamford Bridge exit door as he was dismissed after guiding Chelsea to the FA Cup in May.

"In Europe's big five leagues last season, no player had more touches of the ball per minute than Jorginho".
