Mahrez explains why he signed for Manchester City

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is destined to join a big club in the near future amid reported interest from Manchester United, according to Riyad Mahrez.

Now back to an already-established Premier League star, new boy Mahrez, who spoke to the press on Thursday following his Blues move.

Maguire has built on an impressive season for the Foxes with a series of equally eye-catching displays at the World Cup for England.

The Premier League outfit have been linked with a number of replacements in the form of City's Patrick Roberts and Lyon's Bertrand Traore, however Tuttosport have claimed they are now looking at Falque as a solution to their problems. "I think England deserve a lot of credit for what they achieved".

"That's why I'm here, why I made the decision to come here, because I want to be part of this".

Do you think Mahrez will become a vital player for City?

"Of course he deserves to play higher but Leicester are a good club as well, so it's him who has to decide and we will see".

The 27-year-old Algerian global forward had wanted to move to the champions in January but City baulked at the £80 million fee Leicester demanded at the time.

Mahrez said: "The prices have been very big in every country so it doesn't affect me".

"After what they've done it's incredible", Mahrez, 27, told a news conference. "I'm very confident about myself and I hope to help this team to improve". Now I'm here now and I'm happy. We're going to start to work this week and then we will see. I wanted to work under him and to play in this club.
