Florida man with no arms charged with stabbing man with scissors

Miami Beach Police allege the artist clutched a pair of scissors in his feet and stabbed the visitor twice, according to the Herald.

Crenshaw, who told police he acted in self-defense, was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

Crenshaw, 46, uses his feet to paint and allegedly used his feet again to stab tourist Cesar Coronado, 22, after midnight on Tuesday, the newspaper reports.

A homeless South Florida man with no arms has been charged with stabbing a Chicago tourist.

Crenshaw said he was lying down when Coronado approached him and punched him in the head, the arrest report said.

According to the Miami New Times, Coronado told police that he was attacked while out for a walk with a female friend, shortly after asking Crenshaw for help.

The Miami Herald reports police found Coronado bleeding from his left arm.

Crenshaw has been charged with one count of felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Coronado was visiting the area with his friend from Chicago.

Mr Coronado told investigators he had stopped to ask Crenshaw for directions before he jumped up and stabbed him. Paramedics took him to an area hospital for treatment.

Police found Crenshaw a short distance away, on the 200 block of Lincoln Road.

Crenshaw has an extensive criminal past, including battery of law enforcement officers, according to local police. His court date is scheduled for July 18.
