Galaxy Note 9 launch date: when the re-imagined S Pen arrives

If there's one thing that can be said with certainty for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it's that Samsung will once again take the lazy approach on the gadget. But unlike the previous leaks, the latest revelation shows the next-generation Galaxy Note in a close-up view that confirms the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Look closer, however, and you could see that the clicker at the top was blue.

The biggest of these will relate to its rear camera and S-Pen.

All signs point to Samsung working on a major update to the Galaxy Note 9's S Pen.

Leaker Ice Universe has tweeted a photo purportedly showing off Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 9. This will enable the stylus to perform a variety of functions including but not limited to controlling music playback. That's actually about three weeks earlier compared to the September release of the Galaxy Note 8. The device is also expected to feature dual rear cameras and 4,000mAh battery.

When Samsung first teased the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or, at least, its S Pen, it led many to believe that a gold version of the handset was on the cards. We can expect to see additional leaks concerning the new flagship until then.

The source site claims that a Samsung employee who was present at a recently held pre-briefing of the Galaxy Note 9 has revealed that its base model features 6 GB of RAM and a native storage of 128 GB.
