Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass Cinematic Trailer

The Road Trip tier rewards players with special loading screens for fully completing all weekly challenges.

As expected, the map has changed following the rocket launch and subsequent appearance of mysterious rifts.

As for the map itself, Epic has added in a new desert biome which was something that was heavily hinted it over the last couple of days with all sorts of teasers.

Fortnite is now offline on all platforms while it's getting patched and updated ready to support Season 5.

Fortnite Season 5 will be available to play today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

V5 introduces a new vehicle option called the ATK, or All Terrain Kart.

It sounds like there will be a ton of new stuff to discover on the map, and the new All Terrain Kart will be flawless for exploration with your squad. The roof of the kart also acts as a bounce pad. The ATK is basically a ruggedized golf cart that enables speed boosts when drifting. The rear passengers can even work together with the driver to jump over obstacles on the map by leaning back and then releasing at the same time for a higher jump. Epic Games says that Rifts will instantly take players to a random location when they step into them. There are truckloads of tweaks, changes and additions - ranging from weapon alterations to new vehicles - so study up before dropping. Where storm circles would normally just shrink, Epic has decided that the seventh, eighth and ninth circles should move in random directions, giving campers a whole new headache to deal with. The very first Storm circle will also consistently do 1 damage regardless of how long the player has been stuck in the Storm. Heavy shotguns have been given a 10 pellet magazine, instead of 5, and the ability to double pump has been reduced with the introduction of a shot delay. No one is more excited than the team over at Epic Games however, and they couldn't wait to share what else is in store for the popular game's fifth season. Rather than their bullet spread being randomised, they'll now fire in a consistent manner, meaning you'll be able to learn where within their arc will actually get hit.

Drift Challenges, meanwhile, reward players with different skins for earning XP.
