Apple debuts upgraded pro laptops ahead of fall product blitz

Kuo's research also predicted the release of 5.8- and 6.5-inch OLED screen iPhones, a 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Face ID, a new low-cost notebook that's not a MacBook Air, Apple watches with larger screens, and mass-production models of AirPower and updated AirPods. Apple cites that the 8th-generation Intel Core processor in these laptops will be "ideal for manipulating large data sets, performing complex simulations, creating multi-track audio projects or doing advanced image processing or film editing".

The Blackmagic eGPU connects via Thunderbolt 3 (there are two ports) and features a built-in Radeon Pro 580, HDMI 2.0, 85W of charging power (works with 100V-240V for use around the world), and 4 USB 3.1 connections.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro features, among others, a quad-core processor and up to 2TB of SSD storage. For example, the introduction of True Tone, which is meant to improve the user's viewing experience.

The current Apple Watch is available in two sizes, one with a 38mm display and another with a 42mm display. Rumors have not been clear on whether the Apple Watch itself will be larger or if the bigger display will come from a reduction in bezels. The updated MacBook Pro lineup feature Apple T2 chip which is claimed to deliver enhanced security with support for secure boot.

One big change is that Apple has a "third-generation keyboard" that Apple says is capable of quieter typing.

We know that Apple is likely launching three new iPhones this year, and we know new MacBooks and iPads are probably on their way as well.

Apple's updated MacBook Pros haven't been released into the world all on their lonesome. Suffice it to say, the new models - assuming the mockups are accurate - are going to be incredibly sleek.

In April, the 13-inch MacBook Pros without touch bars had come under scrutiny, with some users reporting battery-related issues. Apple has some new MacBook Pro leather sleeves to go with the notebook, too, in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue, and Black. Bumping up to a 2.6GHz processor, Radeon Pro 560X graphics, and 512GB of storage increases the price to $2799.
