Txiki Begiristain: 'Riyad Mahrez one of most exciting Premier League players'

The 27-year-old Algeria global will join the Manchester side after Leicester City accepted a Club-record fee for the transfer.

According to a UK Daily Mail report, Manchester City have failed in two previous attempt to land the Algeria global, it now seems the former Premier League victor will be leaving the King Power Stadium for the Etihad this summer.

Mahrez struggled to replicate his form the following year with the Foxes falling short as a team in the Premier League, though like his team-mates, he improved after the departure of Ranieri and ultimately accrued 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions.

He later said he had "regrets" over the dispute, during which the Professional Footballers' Association offered to be a mediator between club and player.

"I believe my own game can develop under Pep's management". "We're sure he will bring additional attacking quality to our squad".

"In the four and a half years since Riyad signed for the Foxes, he has played his way into the hearts of all Leicester City supporters", a statement read.
