Thibaut Courtois Continues To Hint At Leaving Chelsea For Madrid

Going into more detail, Courtois said,"I don't only like Madrid, I also like London and they are two great cities".

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will wait until after the World Cup to decide his future, but admitted he wanted to spend more time with his children in Madrid.

Courtois spoke after Belgium completed a stunning 3-2 comeback against Japan to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Monday.

"Returning to Madrid? I am not going to speak about my future but after the World Cup I will see".

Both clubs could be looking for a new goalkeeper this summer, with interest in both Thibaut Courtois and Alisson Becker being high.

"I have some ideas in my mind, but I am focusing on the World Cup and have pushed all decisions ahead until after the tournament".

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with just a year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, but he refused to go into his future immediately following the match. "I'll see, my children are very important to me, I've always said it, and they live there".

"The only thing is that my children are the most important and I'll make the decision that best suits me for everything".

And Courtois has re-iterated the importance of being close to his children, though he has no problems with his life in London.

Chelsea risk losing him for nothing or at a cut-price in January if they do not sell in the summer, with Courtois out of contract at the end of next season.
