George Clooney reportedly hurt in motorcycle crash in Italy

Clooney was taken to a hospital and the injuries are not believed to be serious, according to La Nuova.

Actor George Clooney was taken to the hospital in Sardinia and released after being involved in an accident while riding his motorcycle, hospital officials said. A auto did not respect the right of way and hit him.

A fire extinguisher can be seen on the road but no people are visible.

He was joined by wife Amal Clooney and it has been reported that the pair left the hospital together in a private vehicle. He is now in Italy filming Catch-22, a mini-series that he is producing, starring in, and directing. Calls and emails to Clooney's spokesman weren't immediately returned.

Clooney was pictured stepping off a private jet with wife Amal and twins, Alexander and Ella, near the end of last month.

They all came together at the up-market Il Marino di Puntaldia restaurants after George had finished filming.
