Cristiano Ronaldo's goodbye letter to Real Madrid fans in full

Real Madrid have announced that the transfer of Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus has been agreed.

Ronaldo will sign a four-year deal that includes a yearly salary of around €30m ($35 million), according to The Guardian.

The 33-year-old would be a massive signing for Juventus, as Max Allegri looks to claim a Champions League trophy that has so far alluded him in his career.

"Today Real Madrid would like to thank a player who has shown that he is the best in the world and has defined one of the best eras in the history of our club and of world football".

Ronaldo could make his Juventus debut on the club's preseason tour of the United States, which features game against Bayern Munich (July 25), Benfica (July 28), MLS All-Stars (Aug. 1) and former club Real Madrid (Aug. 4).

The 27-year-old, who has always been linked to Real Madrid, is now starring for Belgium at the World Cup in Russian Federation.

He has scored a record 120 Champions League goals, 105 of them since moving to Madrid - 12 more than Juventus managed in that same period.

Talks have been ongoing between Juventus, Madrid and Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes in the last few days.

These years at Real Madrid, and in the city of Madrid, have been probably the happiest of my life.

The five-time Ballon d'Or victor has been Real for nine seasons after joining from Manchester United for a then world-record fee of £80m.

"But I think the time has come to open a new stage in my life and that's why I asked the club to accept to transfer me", he said in a statement.

During his nine-year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, Ronaldo won 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles and two Copa del Rey crowns.

He was also named as the world's best men's player on six occasions while representing Los Blancos.

Marca added that English striker Harry Kane has been linked to Real Madrid as well.

While praising everyone in the club from the president to the technical staff, Cristiano didn't for go to mention his glittering mantelpiece, talking of the "individual satisfaction of having won four Ballon d'Or and three Golden Boots".

In beating the heavily-favored hosts France in the final, he broke yet another record - his three goals made him the first player to ever score in four European Championships.
