Honor 10 GT, the First 8 GB RAM Huawei Phone Launched

The only difference introduced in Honor 10 GT from the previous smartphone in the presumable Honor 10 series, is an upgrade of 8 GB RAM.

Honor has launched the next-generation Honor 10 GT version in China. Games rely on the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to perform well, and Huawei has a software update coming that will boost the efficiency of the GPU by 60 percent and cut down battery consumption by 30 percent. Aside from the expanded RAM, the rest of the innards of the GT variant is the same as the Honor 10. Thanks to its latest update, the ARM Mali-G72 MP12 GPU will be finally put to use to create remarkable night pictures that reportedly reaches the level of the P20 and P20 Pro.

The software update is now in beta, but should start arriving to all phones no later than July 15.

The Honor 10 GT will go on sale in China from July 24th onwards.

The 6 GB variant now goes for CNY2,599 (less than $390/€340), so the more powerful one should be slightly higher than that. We also expect some future Huawei and Honor phones to have the GPU Turbo software installed on release. However, the is feature is expected to come to the Honor 10 GT through a beta update from July 12. The rear side is equipped with dual cameras comprising of 24MP and 16MP camera sensors, while the front-facing camera offers a 24MP sensor.

Other than these few additions, the specifications of the Honor 10 GT are the same as the ones found on the regular Honor 10 launched a few months back.

Huawei launched the Honor 10 in April. It comes with a notched 5.84 inch IPS LCD, 2280 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ Resolution that supports a 19:9 aspect ratio. However, now the company seems to be getting ready to launch a more powerful version of the smartphone, dubbed as the Honor 10 GT. On the front, the device sports a 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. It also runs the Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 update out-of-the-box, and features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Powering the is the Kirin 970 processor and a 3,400 mAh battery.
