Fourth of July fireworks displays around Tampa Bay

While fireworks continue to be an integral part of Illinoisans' Independence Day celebrations, violation of the state's ban is a class A misdemeanor, carrying a fine of up to $2,500 and up to a year in jail time.

Here is a list of community activities planned for the holiday.

Registration for the parade begins at 8 the Odessa College Sports Center. Please start lining up at 10:00 and the parade will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. Come meet the team at the Teton Volkswagen helicopter flight zone and spend the day with the family celebrating our freedom. Fireworks are set to begin at about 9:30 p.m.

Decatur - July 4 - There is a parade beginning at 6 p.m., kicking off from the First Baptist Church of Decatur at 3089 Clairmont Avenue. 7918 South 400 West in Rexburg. There will also be live music, festivities, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and entertainment in the surrounding areas.

July 3 - Alton Fireworks Spectacular.

More than 50 floats and walking units will make up the parade, with the owners of the 127-year-old Schimpff's Confectionery, Warren and Jill Schimpff, serving as the grand marshals.

The City of New Albany is going big once again for their annual Independence Day celebration with the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County, to be held on July 3. The event starts at 11 a.m. and includes live music, kid-friendly activities and food.

Unlike people, pets don't associate the noise, flashes and burning smell of fireworks with celebration.

- Bingham County Patriot Field Names of the Fallen unveiling ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. July 4 at Patriot Field Veterans Memorial. 20 East Pacific Street. An average of seven people die annually from "non-occupational" fireworks use, although this number varies considerably from year to year: 2015 was exceptionally deadly, with 11 people losing their lives to firework-related injuries; 2016, meanwhile, saw only four deaths, and one occurred while the victim was attempting to manufacture his own illegal fireworks. This event is in commemoration of the Fort Bridger Treaty of 1868.

Safety Harbor: A patriotic parade will take place on Main Street from 10 noon. The game starts at 5:10 p.m. They're setting off noisy pyrotechnic devices during inappropriate hours night after night and using them too close to spectators and occupied structures. It will run down the Menan Lorenzo Highway. Events begin at 4 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. Parking is available for $5.

The Pomona Fairplex will be home to monster trucks, motocross and a Red, White and BOOM fireworks display. The parade will go down Main Street and Elm Street through Aspen Street.

The fireworks will blast off from a barge in front of Conneaut Lake Park Saturday at 9:30 p.m., Leonard said.
