Samsung Galaxy S10 Could Launch In Three Variants

The report notes that in place of the iris scanner, Samsung will invest in a new 3D facial recognition technology. With the S9 widely having been panned as an incremental improvement over the S8, the stakes for the S10 are much higher, and Samsung's top brass simply has to be aware of this fact.

It will become one of the first smartphone makers to integrate a fingerprint scanner into its display, negating the need for a sensor on the back of the phone where some users find them hard to reach. That's unprecedented for a top-tier flagship phone, and it's all because Samsung tried to mimic Apple's old strategy of launching "S" upgrades every other year. One of the latest tidbits to have surfaced is related to the company's 2019 flagship, presumably to be called the Galaxy S10.

Now the question arises, is it relevant to include a secondary display on a smartphone.

A previous rumour about a triple lens camera also appears to have been supported by serial leakster Ice Universe.

It seems likely Apple will have a "tock" year this year, bringing on devices that are extremely similar to what they first presented in 2017.

We are hearing all sorts of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S10. Samsung released a production-ready high-end flexible display in the Galaxy Note Edge all the way back in December of 2014. Sadly, that beacon offered no concrete details whatsoever about the upcoming Galaxy Note 9.

In terms of specs and features, Galaxy Note 9 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. If certain production benchmarks are not met, however, the new phone is expected to continue using an iris scanner, as older model phones have.

We should know the truth about the S Pen - and everything else - before too long, as the Note 9 is rumored to be getting announced on August 9.
