Ranbir does a Munna Bhai and fans can not keep calm

Ranbir does a Munna Bhai and fans can not keep calm

In an interview to Telegraph, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra had said, "When he (director Rajkumar Hirani) told me about Ranbir, I wasn't happy at all". I thought someone else, like Ranveer Singh, could play this role much better. It's better you make a film on my life, how I left Kashmir as a young boy and struggled when I came to Bombay. I thought Ranveer had the flamboyance, the emotional depth as well as the ability to change himself completely to play Sanjay Dutt. While we've already heard Ranbir's voice in the teaser and trailer, hearing the real Dutt's voice as Munnabhai, while watching Ranbir in his stead in the teaser, kind of breaks the continuity of the impression created by the Sanju teaser and trailer. You know. It's a luxury that every actor finds inspiration in every film they do. Later, Dutt told Hirani, "I don't think this is very good news for me", and burst out laughing.

Sanjay Dutt has always been like an elder brother to Ranbir and the two share a great camaraderie. The last 8-10 years.

The biopic also stars Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal and Jim Sarbh in key roles.
