One dead and four injured after gunman opens fire in Malmo

A shooting at an internet cafe in the southern Swedish city of Malmo has claimed the lives of three men. According to local media, the attack took place in the downtown Drottninggatan area.

Witnesses told newspaper Aftonbladet they heard what sounded like 15 to 20 shots about 6:15 the city center.

Swedish police say several people have been injured after shots were fired in the country's third-largest city.

Swedish police said the motive for the attack is not yet known.

"There are a lot of police working on the incident", police press officer Fredrik Bratt said.

The man reportedly fired an automatic weapon at the crowd, who were celebrating Sweden's 1-0 victory against Korea, this evening.

"We are treating this as an isolated event that is confined to these injured persons", she added. He also said that the influx of migrants has badly affected the social and criminal situation in the country.
