The Duchess of Sussex stood behind sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and brother-in-law, Prince William, and it's all because of the royal 'pecking order'. Over the weekend, Meghan Markle joined many of her new in-laws at Trooping the Colour, Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday celebration, and has since been brutally dragged on the Internet by people claiming that her outfit was "inappropriate".

While the official list of nominees is yet to be released, if Markle or any of her co-stars make the cut, it would mark the first time the legal drama has been nominated for the honour and would no doubt be a thrill.

The website also reported that according to sources in the fashion industry, Prince Harry has been giving Markle tips for her new fit-for-a-duchess wardrobe.

While the neckline was modest, the backless number allowed Meghan to show off her toned shoulders and back, while the figure-hugging gown featured a dramatic fluted skirt.

With all the hype around the Suits star since her engagement and subsequent marriage to Prince Harry, some netizens could not fail to miss that a professional plus-size model looks like Markle's long-lost sister.

She paired her dress with a Philip Treacy hat.

"The special projects team at Stella McCartney are working on a few more outfits for Meghan, and Harry always comes to design meetings and fittings to give his opinions on the looks".

Since 1748, Trooping the Colour has also marked the official birthday of the British sovereign. "Meghan really likes Victoria's style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe".
