GROZNY: Mohamed Salah, a star attraction ahead of football´s 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation, has made headlines for a smiling photo with Ramzan Kadyrov, strongman of Chechnya where his Egypt team have set up camp.

Officially, The Pharaohs chose Grozny as Egypt´s camp although it is not hosting any matches in the tournament to keep a low profile, away from the media, as they prepare to make their World Cup finals return after an absence of 28 long years.

Liverpool and Egypt's national football star Mohamed Salah resumed training on Monday for the first time since his injury in the Champions League finale, and is reported to be training lightly alone in the last national team training session held on Monday, June 11.

"He is gradually getting better".

Drogba, who played for Chelsea between 2004 and 2012, was the previous record holder on 29 goals but Salah found the net 32 times during last season's league campaign to smash the Ivorian's record.

'We will not pressure Mohamed.

Following an exhausting 16-hour flight, the team faces another four hours on a plane for the game against Egypt, which will be played in Ekaterinburg.
