First Teaser Trailer for ‘Dumbo’ Brings Disney’s Magical Baby Elephant to Life

First Teaser Trailer for ‘Dumbo’ Brings Disney’s Magical Baby Elephant to Life

"Dumbo", directed by Tim Burton and loosely inspired by the 1941 animated film, stars Danny DeVito as the owner of a struggling circus. Will Burton find similar success with his next Disney tentpole, "Dumbo"?

The all-new, live-action adventure expands on the beloved classic story where, as Disney puts it, "differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight". And that's good. Burton takes Dumbo to the turn of the 20th century, dousing the film with Gilded Age aesthetics and callbacks to the era of traveling circuses.

The story of Dumbo, a baby elephant born with abnormally large ears who is separated from his mother and shunned by other elephants, serves as a reminder of the importance of "inclusion, acceptance, kindness, and support", Farrell explained.

However, Dumbo's caretaker soon learns that Dreamland isn't what it appears to be.

Cape Town - Disney has just released the first teaser trailer for the live-action remake of Dumbo. Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Eva Green, Danny DeVito, Alan Arkin, and Nico Parker lead the cast. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland.

The first trailer for Burton's Dumbo, set for release in March 2019, is as sad as the original, but has the trademark dark features that go along with a Burton film.
