E3 2018: Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition coming to the Switch

Between its multiple core games, spin-offs, and remasters, it's basically impossible for a casual JRPG fan to comprehend the whole series.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will come with improved graphics and all previously released DLC. This simple mission spins into a series of events that finds Yuri befriending a colorful cast of characters, traveling to exotic locations, and being pushed into the middle of a nefarious plot that threatens the destruction of the entire planet.

For those unfamiliar, Tales of Vesperia was released in 2008 and centers around the story of Yuri Lowell, a former Imperial Knight, and how a mission to save his neighborhood spirals out of control leading you across the whole world. With a whole range of flashy special attacks, fancy sword swings and aerial moves at your disposal, fighting bad guys is a pinch, with the game's controls letting you pull off impressive-looking moves easily, interspersed with jumps, guards and dodges to avoid enemy attacks. Have you played a Tales game before?

Really, the Tales of battles look/sound way more complicated than they actually are. The title was also made available for pre-order through Amazon for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

After the revelation of the game's definitive edition during the Xbox press briefing, game publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that the game will launch on all modern platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo switch.

Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition arrives this winter.
