Another part of the agreement absolving Musk's company from liabilities from customers' behavior "no matter how genius or stupid" included exemptions for such acts as "setting things on fire", and "smoking near the not-a-flamethrower".

Amid an ongoing national debate over gun reform and the Second Amendment, some took issue with the fact that such unsafe machines were sold for a mere $500 by the Boring Company, which did not require a background check of would-be flamethrower owners.

Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, first touted his plan to sell flamethrowers in social media posts in December. "Works against hordes of the undead or your money back!"

"Apparently, some customs agencies are saying they won't allow shipment of anything called a "Flamethrower". But it appears as though some of them were not that interested in holding onto it, as several have popped up on eBay in the days since.

Musk also tweeted out the terms and conditions for his "Not-A-Flamethrower", which will ostensibly protect his company from liability for the inevitable flamethrower injuries and property damages, which come along with ... you know, handing out actual flamethrowers to people.
