Griezmann: My Future Will Be Announced Next Week


Just as it looked as if this would prove to be a key day to find out what Antoine Griezmann's future holds, everyone thought he would announce his decision today, it was in reality a press conference which he was obligated to attend.

Speaking on Monday, Griezmann's France manager Didier Deschamps revealed the striker would be playing in La Liga next season during a media briefing.

The media gathered at France's World Cup base in Russian Federation to attend a press conference, at which Griezmann would be speaking. I think that we will know my future this week.

Catalunya Radio reported that Barca remain confident of signing Griezmann as coach Ernesto Valverde was reassured by the club's hierarchy over a meal last week that the forward would be part of his squad next season.

But with Barcelona in the hunt, Messi has told his club to get the transfer over the line - or risk not winning the Champions League.

Seeing how things have come full circle for Griezmann is just attractive and we're eager to see how he performs on the grandest stage of them all, especially considering how electric he was two years back.

LaLiga president Javier Tebas believes Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann will stay at Real Madrid and Atletico, respectively.

"I don't know if he's the priority".

"I can only say that to win the Champions League you have to have the best players".
