Cloud streaming will complement consoles not replace them says Microsoft

A news post on Xbox's website has some more concrete details about what we can expect from Halo Infinite. Halo Infinite is the next chapter of the legendary franchise that is developed by 343 Industries and created with its new Slipspace Engine.

The first game wasted no time in showcasing just that with the reveal of Halo Infinite: the next entry in the Halo series that will supposedly take it in some unexpected directions.

Excited already? Well, you'll have to wait since the game officially arrives on October 2 for Xbox and PC.

"Xbox One X players will have the option to play the game in native 4K at 30fps, or play in 60fps at a lower resolution", writes Xbox Wire Editor Mike Nelson. "Bigger announcements included Playground Games" Forza Horizon 4, which allows players to race around the United Kingdom countryside in a massive shared-world racing tournament, with dynamic seasons affecting conditions; the reveal of Techland's Dying Light 2, evolving the parkour-inspired survival horror with a new, wildly branching consequences system; and Capcom's slick-looking Devil May Cry 5.

There was also a plethora of the biggest blockbuster third-party games coming in the next year from the teams at Bethesda, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Capcom EA and more.

"When we started this project, the team's vision for the game was ambitious", Studio Head Chris Lee said. Where Netflix has banner franchises like "House of Cards" and "Stranger Things", Microsoft has "Halo" and "Gears of War", both published by the tech behemoth itself.

Halo 6 seems like the most likely candidate to actually make it into the Microsoft E3 conference today.

Developer Playground Games are expected to announce the latest iteration of racing game for 2018.

Phil Spencer said that the company's cloud engineers are working to bring console-quality games streaming to any device.

Kitao also talked about the short teaser at The Game Awards and how Miyazaki thought it was a little too short to be shown as a teaser.
