Skyrim for Alexa wasn't just a joke - it's out now

During its E3 showcase on Sunday, Bethesda introduced a video of what appeared to be a comedic spoof for "Skyrim: Very Special Edition" - an Alexa "port" for its immensely popular game, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim". You can also go to the product page and enable it on your Alexa devices.

"Bethesda Game Studios is proud to present Skyrim. for Alexa". Through the Amazon store app on iOS, or the Amazon Alexa app on Android, you can click the Alexa icon and just ask her to open Skyrim.

It already has RPGs Dungeon Adventure, and Shadow Run so why not a dragon-battling multi-threaded choose your own adventure, complete with Skyrim mythos? First you have to download the Skill, which is available from this link. "Should work", says our resident Alexa expert. Instead of marching through Tamriel through your Switch or PS4, Very Special Edition lets you play the game through your personal assistant, Alexa. Specifically, the app includes the ability to "quest and explore the dungeons of Skyrim", "master your weapons, spells and shouts", and you can even "guard your knees against arrows".
