Prey's Mooncrash DLC is available right the heck now

Instead it's a piece of DLC called Mooncrash, where "enemies, hazards, and loot are all different each time you play".

Bethesda unveiled the long-awaited Prey DLC called Mooncrash, a lunar expansion that's available right now. Now Peter, a hacker stationed aboard a spy satellite tasked with intercepting TranStar communications, must find out why.

First up, Prey will be getting three separate singleplayer modes: Story Mode, for those wishing to experience the game's story; Survival Mode, which will put you into a hardcore survival scenario including oxygen levels and a bleed status; and New Game+, a much-requested feature to the original game. This loot transfers over to your next game and gives you a better chance of survival. You'll even get to unlock different characters with different abilities to play through the mode.

At its E3 event today, Bethesda has announced a new game update and two DLCs; one of which will also be available in VR.

Prey: Mooncrash and Prey: Digital Deluxe are available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Prey is over a year old and it seemed mad that we still haven't had any major content releases for the detailed sci-fi immersive sim. Typhon Hunter is "a tense game of hide-and-seek between a single survivor and five other players who stalk, hunt and hide in plain sight as shape-shifting Mimic aliens". A New Game + mode is also being added in this update.
