Dhadak is the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of the late screen icon Sridevi, and Ishaan Khatter, half-brother of actor Shahid Kapoor.

Even after acknowledging that this one is the Hindi remake of the super-hit Marathi film Sairat, there's a certain sense of excitement just to know how these two leads would justify their roles. "I think I have tried to do that".

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame, and produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Dhadak hits theatres on July 20th.
