E3 2018: Life Is Strange Spin-Off Captain Spirit Gets Adorable Trailer

Don't panic, this isn't Life is unusual 2, it's something else entirely; a new story told within the universe of Life is odd.

The game is completely free, coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 26.

Let co-game directors Raoul Barbet and Michel Koch from DONTNOD take you through the Awesome Development of Captain Spirit in this spoiler-free look behind the scenes. Apprently set within the Life is unusual universe, the game sees you playing as Chris and his heroic alter-ego Captain Spirit.

The Square Enix published game will feature an original story in the "Life is Strange" universe and seems to feature the relationship between a father and his son. Players assume the role of a 10-year-old boy called Chris. Developer Dontnod promises many secrets in this self-contained experience, enough to warrant several playthroughs. Life Is Strange is not just about the characters we already know and love, it's about a bigger universe and the people we're yet to meet. While this demo is designed in the usual Life is unusual way and allows you plenty of time to explore everything, it is at the same time structurally different to previous entries.

In addition to the reveal trailer, Square Enix also confirmed with the announcement that the title will be coming as a free download on June 26th, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, making for an intriguing standalone chapter for Life is odd fans.
