If he is to gain match practice before the World Cup his chances will come in warm-up games against Croatia in Liverpool on June 3 and against Austria in Vienna three days later.

But in the meantime Neymar faces a race to get fit mentally and physically ahead of the World Cup in Russian Federation, where Brazil will be among the favourites to reach the final stages of the tournament. Their group also includes Costa Rica and Serbia.
