Get a First Look at Harry Styles-Produced Sitcom 'Happy Together'

With the sitcom being based around the One Direction star's real life experience, it only made sense for Harry to executive produce the series.

American network CBS is to air the comedy Happy Together, about a married couple whose lives are disrupted when a young pop star moves in, from the autumn.

The plot of the sitcom is loosely based on the period of time when Harry moved in with his friend and mentor Ben Winston for over a year following his rise to fame on X Factor.

The premise is as old as time: boy band heartthrob moves out of his family home and ends up crashing with the his mentor for a few weeks that turn into almost two years and hijinks ensue.

He had promised that it was a short arrangement but ended up living in the attic for 20 months.

"Two weeks later and he hadn't bought his house yet", continues Winston.

And Stevens West said: "This is his story, and even though we're not telling it exactly as it happened, people are going to ask questions - like, 'Did this really happen to you?' So he's going to care about the stories that we're telling".

Last year, Ben spoke for the first time about the unorthodox living situation, telling Rolling Stone: "Those 20 months were when they went from being on a reality show, X Factor, to being the biggest-selling artists in the world. And when he moved out, we were gutted".

Winston is an executive producer on the Late Late Show With James Corden and will have the same role on Happy Together, CBS said.
