Five found dead at Denton County residence

Authorities in Ponder are investigating a shooting that left five people dead and another one in the hospital.

"I didn't even know if they owned the house or rented", Booker said.

The gunman shot himself after killing his three children and his ex-wife's boyfriend at a residence in the 600 block of Lone Star Park Lane, a little more than 35 miles north of Fort Worth.

Late Wednesday night, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the two men involved as Justin Painter and Seth Richardson.

Hinojosa says authorities are not looking for a suspect and that residents are not in danger, but declined to elaborate.

The Denton County Sheriff's Office and the Ponder Fire Department responded to the scene, and the Texas Rangers were called in to assist with the investigation.

When firefighters got to the home they found six victims.

Superintendent Bruce Yeager said in a statement that the address where the shooting took place doesn't come up in the district's system as belonging to any students or staff members. Hinojosa said that upon arriving, Ponder Police officers found several deceased people in the home.
