'Deadly Class' TV Series First Look Released

The premise of Deadly Class revolves around King's Dominion, a secret school that trains would-be assassins in the "deadly arts".

The Plot: In 2093, in hopes of making contact with a mysterious alien life at the edge of our solar system, a group of maverick scientists and a powerful telepath embark on an expedition aboard The Nightflyer.

The series is based on author George R.R. Martin's novella and the 1987 film of the same name.

Starring Eoin Macken, Sam Strike, Maya Eshet, Angus Sampson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Gretchen Mol, David Ajala, and Brian F. O'Byrne, Nightflyers is set to premiere on Syfy in the fall. Per the logline: "As they race towards first contact, terrifying and violent events begin to occur, causing the once tight-knit crew to mistrust each other".

Now that Avengers: Infinity War is out and destroying box office records, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been working on their next project: executive producing Syfy's upcoming series Deadly Class.

Remender adds, "Fans of the comic book are going to be delighted".

From Sony Pictures Television and Universal Cable Productions, DEADLY CLASS was adapted for television by Rick Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, who will serve as executive producers alongside Joe Russo ("Avengers: Infinity War", "Captain America: Civil War"), Anthony Russo ("Avengers: Infinity War", "Captain America: Civil War") and Mike Larocca ("Spy"). "Deadly Class is authentic, honest, and brutal", he details in the first-look clip. Adam Targum of Chipmunk Hill is an executive producer on the pilot episode, as is Lee Toland Krieger, who directed the pilot.

Based off of Rick Remender and Wes Craig's 2014 series, Deadly Class centers on a homeless teen who suddenly finds himself attending an elite private school, which also happens to be where the world's top crime families send the world's next generation of criminals.

The series stars Doctor Strange's Benedict Wong, Benjamin Wadsworth (Teen Wolf), Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Yo Soy Franky ), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), Liam James (The Way Way Back), and Michel Duval (Queen of the South).
