Official trailer of Queen biopic starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury released

20th Century Fox and Regency Entertainment released the first major promotional trailer for the upcoming film, Bohemian Rhapsody, and it's a masterful display of pitch-perfect editing set to the unforgettably iconic tunes to one of the most transcendent rock bands of the 20th century. The trailer begins with a scene where Malek playing Mercury is engaging with the crowd during a concert.

Bohemian Rhapsody will be released in theatres on November 1.

It's been a long feat to make even the trailer. In the subsequent years, the cast and crew of Bohemian Rhapsody saw many major and minor controversies including the firing of the previous director Bryan Singer, and Sacha Baron Cohen leaving the project and quitting his role as Freddie Mercury midway. According to the official synopsis, the film explores the ups and downs of the band, including when Mercury made a decision to pursue a solo career and when he reunited with the band for Live Aid, despite his failing health.

He wanted to show the nitty gritty of Mercury, including his party life, sexuality and wild ways.

Then, in December, after three months of filming, director Bryan Singer was sacked for being absent from the production on multiple occasions and clashing with the cast and crew.

The film will of course place a special emphasis on Mercury, and this trailer gives us the best look so far at Malek in the leading role.
