NCIS star Pauley Perrette claims 'multiple physical attacks' made her quit show

Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it today.

Pauley Perrette's emotional farewell from "NCIS" took a dark turn when the actress posted a series of tweets alleging she had been victimized by "multiple physical assaults". She has been on the show since the beginning, but she will not be returning for the upcoming sixteenth season. She felt she had to protect her crew, their jobs, and a lot of people.

"There is a "machine" keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me", Pauley tweeted.

She admitted she was trying to do the right thing, but maybe her silence was not the correct answer to something she called a "crime".

"I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever", she tweeted.

Sadly, Pauley Perrette is just one of many women who have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct and assault since 2017.

She also encouraged victims to "stay safe", and stressed that "nothing is worth your safety".

"Maybe I'm wrong for not "spilling the beans" Telling the story, THE TRUTH", she mused. You should leave me alone. But now that I KNOW because it was ME! "And then I take a deep breath and I go, 'All right, ' you know?"

While she didn't specifically name the long-running crime series, the 49-year-old actress sent out a cryptic tweet just days after her final episode aired in the US. "A very rich, very powerful publicity 'machine, '" the former NCIS Season 15 star described that mysterious thing. Trying to remain calm.

Her fearless admission surely won't go unnoticed, but only time will tell if those who harmed Perrette will be brought to justice. I did my best work for you. "Tell someone (sic)", she tweeted. And I usually cry on my way home at some point. Perrette announced plans to leave "NCIS" last October.

In several interviews, she talked about how Sciuto encouraged girls to look at a career in science as an option for them, and that Abby has made it cool to be smart.

CNN has reached out to reps for CBS for comment, as well as Perrette for additional comment.
