Freshman James Piot carded a 5-over-par 76 as he was 3-over-par at the turn and then 2-over-par on the final nine holes. One stroke behind Nevada, BYU is only seven strokes behind three teams tied for second: No. 10 Auburn, No. 15 Arkansas and No. 27 North Florida.

Grant and sophomore Garrett Johnson are MSU's best performers through two rounds at 5-over for a share of 40th.

Redshirt senior Harry Ellis bounced back with a counting score on Tuesday, dropping a 1-under 71.

Baylor (-6) trails only No. 2 Texas A&M (-18) and No. 14 Clemson (-17). Two of the birdies came on par 4s. The top five teams (and the top individual not on one of those teams) qualify for the NCAA Championship, which will be held May 25-30 at the Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, the home course of No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State.

The Augusta University men's golf team is in eighth place and five shots out of fifth place after 36 holes of play at the 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

The Cyclones will tee off in third round action tomorrow with a berth in the NCAA Championships on the line. His 33-spot improvement was the largest by any individual in the field.

Seniors Michael Sharp and Charlie Green and sophomore Andrew Walker all recorded 6-over-par 77s in the opening round and are tied for 51st.

Sophomore Ryan Davis (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) battled back after a hard opening nine holes to play the second nine at even-par and finish tied for 30th after round one with a 4-over 75.
