Golf star's wife charged after allegedly attacking him for poor round

The wife of American golfer Lucas Glover was arrested and charged with domestic violence after the three-time PGA Tour victor failed to make the cut at the Players Championship on Sunday (NZ time), according to a police report in Florida.

Given the visible injuries on Lucas Glover, his mother, and the verbal statements made, police said they had probable cause to make the arrest.

"Deputies noted in their reports there were fresh lacerations to Lucas" right arm and "multiple lacerations' to both his 62-year-old mother Hershey Glover's arms as well as blood on her clothes", the Daily Mail reported.

Glover won the 2009 U.S. Open and has two other career PGA wins, with the most recent coming at the Wells Fargo Championship in 2011.

After the arrest, the golfer posted a message to Twitter telling fans that there was an altercation and asking for privacy on the matter.

And since he had a bad day alongside Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose at The Players, she allegedly went off on him at dinner time and showered him with insults, including "p***y" and 'loser, ' the incident report reads.

Krista claimed she was attacked by her mother-in-law during an argument with her husband.

Police officials noted in the report that Krista resisted them, refusing to get in the squad vehicle by "blocking herself from sitting down".

According to the report, Hershey tried to stop the altercation when Krista started "striking Hershey in the arm". She reportedly attempted to wrap her legs around the vehicle door, but deputies were able to push her in.

According to statements given to deputies at the scene, the altercation began after Glover completed his round. This is why cops get shot in the face. "Wait till I talk with the judge, you will be f--ing fired over this".

Krista was arrested Saturday evening and taken to the St. John's County Jail but was released the next day after posting a $2,500 bond.
