Foo Fighters Announce Details For Next Cal Jam Festival

The festival kicks off Friday night with Billy Idol, comedian Bridget Everett and Mexico City's Mexrrissey, performing their set of Smiths and Morrissey cover songs in Spanish, among others. Visit www.caljamfest.com and www.LiveNation.com for more information.

Foos will rightfully headline the festival once again but they're bringing plenty of friends along for the ride. Dave Grohl and his band Foo Fighters are here to put your mind at ease.

For the older set, Tenacious D will also be onhand - fingers crossed Grohl slaps on the red makeup and reprises his role as the Devil from the band's film The Pick Of Destiny, along with Billy Idol and Garbage. Also joining are Shirley Manson and Garbage, Manchester Orchestra, Silversun Pickups and Deer Tick.

In addition to the full day of rock, the festival will include a number of activities open to attendees. The festival lineup was posted today.
