CBS Cancels Kevin Can Wait

In an Instagram post on Sunday, James thanked everyone involved with the series.

Leah Remini, who had a much more successful run with James as his TV wife on The King of Queens, thanked Kevin Can Wait's cast, producers, and writers for accepting her with open arms at the start of the second season.

Kevin Can Wait premiered on CBS in September 2016. I laughed everyday, and I will miss that the most.

Remini, who took Erinn Hayes" place on the show for season two, wrapped up in saying, "So thank you all.

"I want to say thank you to the wonderful cast, crew, producers, and the writers of @kevincanwaitcbs. Thank you all!" James, 53, captioned a photo of a leather jacket from the show.

James, 53, also took to the social media site to share his graciousness despite the disappointing end to the show, which had a strong debut two years ago, but nosedived in the ratings over the past year. "I want to say thank you to all the fans for the love and support". I wouldn't even trade the knowledge for anything on the planet...

Kevin Can Wait's decision ended up being for naught in regards to guaranteeing a Season 3 and, as previously mentioned, could be one of the reasons the show's viewership dropped in Season 2. "Thus happy with what we all did and also this talented and remarkable solid, Writers & Crew".

In an interview with the New York Daily News last October, James said, "I get that people are like, 'Whoa, why would you do this?' But it really felt like a thing like this was needed for the show to drive forward".

Kevin Can Wait made history as the first-ever television sitcom to be shot live on Long Island. The plot of the show didn't have enough drive.
