Ander Herrera: 'Eden Hazard is best player in Premier League'

And those rumours have only escalated after it has been revealed that Hazard is stalling on signing a new contract, despite Chelsea being "desperate" for him to commit his future.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has branded Chelsea winger Eden Hazard as the best player in the Premier League ahead of the two sides' FA Cup final clash.

Hazard has reportedly been offered improved terms of £300,000-per-week, to convince him to extend his six-year association with the club and reject advances from Real Madrid.

Anyway, Don Balon claim that Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are all in the running to land Hazard, who is believed to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

"I think it is not my last game", Hazard, who will be a key player for Belgium at the World Cup in Russian Federation, said.

"I'm waiting for new players next season".

Having said that, the 27-year-old has attempted more dribbles than any other Premier League player this season with 200, while he also successfully completed 165; only Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha came close to rivalling that with 119 successful dribbles.

"Yeah, [I have to think about] a lot of things, and then we will see".

Hazard will not be able to play Champions League football with Chelsea next season after a fifth-placed finish saw the club drop into the Europa League.

Chelsea take on Man United at Wembley in the FA Cup final on 19 May. But Hazard quickly put that deal on ice making it clear that whilst he'd like to stay at Chelsea, if no progress is made in the form of some new signings, he'll happily consider taking his services elsewhere. I have one week to play now. Trophies are important. It's more important for me as I've never won this one. Saturday is a massive game, I just want to win, for me and them also.

"We're Chelsea. We need trophies", Hazard said.

You know. We'll see. We are not qualified for the Champions League next season, so this season has been bad, so now we can save a little bit this season, with this trophy.
