Turkish airlines plane tail smashed in dramatic collision at Istanbul Intl' Airport

Footage has emerged showing the moment the two planes collided on Sunday. The collision caused a fire on the Turkish twin-engine jet.

"It appeared like a bomb going off and the entire airplane appeared to tilt over".

She revealed emergency crews have been quickly on the scene of the crash and though her flight was full no person on board was injured.

"My sister Clare Chambers was on this Turkish Airlines plane in Istanbul yesterday, now tailless", Facebook user Pete Young posted on Monday.

Video shows an A330 from South Korean airline Asiana being taxied across the tarmac when it crashed into the tail of a Turkish Airlines A321 jet, severing it in half.

The Asiana A330 was taxiing bound for a departure to Seoul's Incheon Airport, when the collision with the Turkish aircraft occurred.

An Asiana Airlines A330 was believed to be taxiing to its gate at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport when its wing struck a Turkish Airlines A321.
