Queen Release 'Sneak Peek' Trailer for 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

However, it works more because of nostalgia than the incredible thought process behind making those songs.

The film was a long time in the making. The first trailer was shown at CinemaCon a few weeks ago, creating even more hype for Bohemian Rhapsody than there was previously, and leaving fans anxious to see this footage online.

Bohemian Rhapsody will be in cinemas from October 24.

They reportedly used a combination of Malek's voice, actual recordings of Mercury, and a sound-alike performer to get the sound right for the performances in the movie, and if this trailer is indicative of the results, they nailed it. Finished off by replacement director Dexter Fletcher, the film tells the story of Queen's rise to fame, from their formation as a band to their 1985 performance at Live Aid.

The film will tell the story of Queen's meteoric rise into rock legend, the ways Mercury's personal problems almost destroyed the band, and their triumphant return and now-legendary performance on the eve of Live Aid. Now we get to see more of Malek, as well as of Joseph Mazzello as bassist John Deacon, Ben Hardy as drummer Roger Taylor, and Gwilym Lee as guitarist Brian May and his hair.

The biopic, written by The Theory of Everything's Anthony McCarten and directed by Dexter Fletcher (who took over when Bryan Singer was sacked from the project), takes place in the time period when Queen formed and when the band played their defining concert, at Live Aid in 1985.
