Mother Arrested For Permitting Sexual Abuse Of Daughter In Cinema

After the CCTV visuals of the sexual abuse emerged, the woman had initially told the police that she did not know that the man had preyed upon the child at the cinema theatre at Edappal. The 60-year-old man accused of allegedly molesting the girl in the movie hall was finally arrested after local media aired the evidence that later went viral.

The theatre owner had given the footage to Childline on April 25. "We then handed over everything to the ChildLine, ". However, the police did not act on it until the incident triggered the public anger on Saturday.
