Miramar Map Arrives for Mobile Gamers

A lot of mobile ports of bigger games can end up being half-baked afterthoughts and that, like its mobile competitor, is what makes PUBG Mobile genuinely stand out. The update brings new weapons and vehicles, social features and better optimization.

This latest patch kicks off PUBG Mobile's second season of content, presumably ushering in new cosmetic items and a stat reset.

The games official Twitter account posted a quick tweet that shared key highlights of the update, but even that list isn't everything you'll get from PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 starting today.

PUBG Mobile launched on March 19 to a positive reception, and it has seen steady updates in the weeks and months since the mobile port's release.

PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 improved spectator mode smoothness, striking and melee combat sounds, parachute camera smoothness, and the parachute speed matches the PC speed in-game.

Of course, PUBG Mobile still has a long way to go if it hopes to catch up to the PC version. Progress Missions are new too, giving players another opportunity to collect rewards as they complete tasks. As previously mentioned, the Sanhok jungle map is not yet available for PUBG Mobile, and Tencent hasn't given any indication of when fans can expect it to come to the game.
