Locke Cole Is Ready to Steal Hearts in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Locke's design is actually based off of the original Yoshitaka Amano concept art of the character, although he does come with an alternate costume that falls more in line with his in-game look from Final Fantasy VI.

On the Lifestream forums, a member who goes by the handle "hian" uploaded the translation of a recording of a behind-closed-doors conversation between Kitase and Hamaguchi, along with Square Enix character designer Tetsuya Nomura. They even added that they are working on "something we've never seen before", further hyping up the game, if that was at all possible. In it, Kitase and Hamaguchi state they'd like to launch Final Fantasy VII Remake by the game's 35th anniversary in 2023.

Some of the topics that were discussed included changes that they are making in the Final Fantasy VII Remake and that the development of the game is progressing smoothly.

While this is initially disappointing, we must keep in mind that Final Fantasy VII Remake is going to be a game released in parts.

As for when Final Fantasy 7 Remake will release, that remains to be seen. In 2015, when a remake of Final Fantasy VII was confirmed to be in the works, fans worldwide were ecstatic to be able to revisit an old classic with modern graphics. We may still have to wait for some time before this game rolls out. We do know that the development process has had a huge delay due to the work shifting completely to the internal team at a certain point when it was learned that CyberConnect 2's job wasn't being done properly or at least at the standards Square Enix wanted to be respected.
