Antonio Conte: We don't have a chance in the cup final

If this is Antonio Conte's final Premier League game as Chelsea manager there will be a collective shrugging of shoulders in west London, but the prospect of Rafa Benitez leaving Newcastle United sends a shudder of fear across Tyneside.

However, as the club attempts to negotiate an extension, owner Ashley has expressed his gratitude to the 58-year-old Spaniard and re-affirmed his commitment to his vision for the future.

"We have to be sure we do the right things".

Emenalo resigned last November and subsequently took up a similar role at French club Monaco with sources suggesting that he had grown exhausted of the constant chopping and changing of managers at Chelsea and the tensions involved. Despite the shortage of funds being made available for reinforcements, Rafa Benitez has managed to steer the Magpies clear of relegation and into a possible top-half finish.

"On many occasions throughout the season, they have been described as a Championship side, which I personally consider to be derogatory".

When quizzed if Sunday's defeat was his last Premier League game in charge of Chelsea, Conte replied: "I have a contract and I am committed to this club".

"I have worked with my players this season and I think it's not right to say something about this because there are other people to judge our season and judge the problem of finishing out of the Champions League".

It means that Chelsea FC will have to settle for a season in the Europa League next term as they missed out on qualification for the Champions League.

Speaking to reporters, according to the Express, Cahill said: "That was a below par performance, and for whatever reason we were way off the pace today".

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte: "We're struggling to take a place in the Champions League".

This year, an FA Cup win won't sweeten the sour notes of the season. "For me, for sure, it was a big loss in November". That season, Chelsea also stumbled to the finish line of the Premier League in sixth place.

"Newcastle outplayed us and they deserved to win".

I expect thrilling next season because Chelsea have a decent team. No, I don't think it will be.

Emenalo is now the sporting director at AS Monaco and has not been replaced at Chelsea.

He said: "I have said all along that I want to do things sooner rather than later". "We have six days to change our approach, our desire and our will to fight".
