10-Hour Michael Jordan Documentary Coming In 2019

The specifics on where and when the series will air in 2019 have not yet been determined.

Jordan is reportedly involved in the project and the series will feature commentary from dozens of sports figures.

Directed by Jason Hehir (The Fab Five, The "85 Bears, Andre the Giant) and produced by Mike Tollin, the doc series will examine the simultaneous rise of Jordan and the National Basketball Association during the '90s".

Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls dynasty is getting a super-sized version of ESPN's 30-for-30 treatment, the network announced today. Finding out that there is just 500 unseen hours of footage out there is like finding out there's another season of Seinfeld. But a 10-part series will surely go back into Jordan's life and career before that, and extend into the years after.

His Chicago Bulls won six National Basketball Association titles, for which he was the Finals MVP each time, and he won five league MVP awards. Thankfully, Michael Jordan also made Space Jam so he's culturally unimpeachable. In 2006, Jordan became a part-owner of the then-Charlotte Bobcats, before purchasing a controlling stake in 2010.
