The BlackBerry KEY2 will succeed KEYone and as per its Twitter post, the company will host a launch event of 7 June at 10 am EST (that is around 1930 hours IST) in NY to officially launch its latest smartphone. The phone will be announced in NY at 10 AM ET. The tagline on the invitation is "an icon reborn", so that sure sounds like BlackBerry's classic approach updated for the world in 2018. This is the same smartphone which was spotted on the Chinese certification website TENAA that revealed some possible specifications of the BlackBerry Key2. Also, a few leaked images provided a closure look at its design and highlight all the key differences between the BlackBerry KEYone and its successor.

The TENAA listing showcased a dual-camera setup at the back, while retaining the physical keyboard.

Network: 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C. The phone sports 4.5-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, featuring a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels.

No further details have been revealed at this point in time but seeing as how it's a successor to the KeyOne, it's safe to say that the handset is going to have a full QWERTY keyboard. Some reports suggests that the device could be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM.
