Teen crashes Blake Bortles party because he couldn't steal his truck: cops

National Football League star quarterback Blake Bortles thwarted a teenage thief at a Jacksonville Jaguars teammate party. Bortles was allegedly at the home of center Brandon Linder, according to the Jaguars spokesperson. Witnesses told police that home surveillance video documented the act, the station added.

According to the report, Reed said he was walking up the driveway to Linder's house when he saw someone in Bortles's truck, but he did not think much of it and continued to the party. Surveillance video showed Horton taking Bortles' wallet from the truck and witnesses say the teen tried to drive away in Bortles' F-150 but was boxed in by other cares so he instead chose to enter the home. Too many other vehicles were parked around the truck, and he could find no route to exit. Blake and Jags lineman Chris Reed were all at a party at the Jacksonville Beach home of offensive lineman Brandon Linder when they noticed a unusual young man skulking around the house. After it became clear that no one else at the party knew Horton, the police were called.

At that point the video shows the thief, identified by police as 18-year-old Joseph Horton, go inside Linder's house, where he was eventually apprehended by Bortles and company.

Horton was arrested and charged with burglary, trespassing and grand theft, reported, citing online court records.

Oh, and after Horton gave police his address, a little research indicated that the residence is a multimillion-dollar home on the Intracoastal Waterway just a few blocks down the street, WJXT added.

Bortles and two friends were reportedly keeping a close eye on Horton when police arrived. Neighbors said he lives there with his parents.
